Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Pie shell
  • 2 cups (475g) Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 cup (200g) Sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup (300ml) Whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 3 Egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp Grounded Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Grounded Ginger
  • 1/8 tsp Grounded Cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Grounded Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions
 

  • First, start by making the pie shell. You could buy it but if you want to make it from scratch, here is my recipe.
  • Blind bake the pie shell for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • In the mean time, make the pumpkin puree. You could buy it but if you want to make the whole pie from scratch, you can find out here how to make homemade pumpkin puree.
  • In a large bowl, mix the eggs, the pumpkin puree, the spices, the the sugar, the cornstarch and the cream until well combined.
  • Pour the pumpkin mixture onto the hot pie shell.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes at 350F (180C). The middle should still appear a little under cook.
  • Allow to cool down on a baking rack.
