Homemade Flaky Pie Crust

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup Ice cold water

Instructions
 

  • This recipe is for 2 pie crusts, if you are doing a galette or a single crust pie, divide in half. Or do it like that and freeze half for later!
  • In a large bowl, add the flour, a pinch of salt and the cold cubes of butter.
  • Mix the flour and butter together with your fingers until combined, with a few little pieces of butter left.
  • Add the cold water and mix again until the dough holds together. You might have to add a little bit more for the dough to hold.
  • Make a bowl and refrigerate for half an hour or longer.
