Campfire Skillet Pizza

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Instant Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 3/4 cup Warm Water
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Cheese
  • Any toppings you want!

Instructions
 

  • Mix the instant yeast with warm water in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl or a clean surface, make a hole in your flour.
  • Pour the yeast in the middle of the flour. 
    Add the olive oil and water.
  • Using your hands, or your kids hands, bring the flour toward the centre until everything is mixed together.
  • Knead the dough for a few minutes until it doesn't stick to the bowl or your hands.
  • Cover the ball of dough with a clean tea towel and set aside for 1 hour, until it doubles in volume.
  • Using olive oil, grease the your cast iron skillet.
  • Flatten the pizza dough inside the skillet and set aside to rise for 20 minutes.
  • After the 20 minutes, scoop a couple of spoons of tomato sauce on the dough and spread around.
  • Add grated cheese on top and any other toppings.
  • Once the fire is out, place a few rocks or a grill grate over the hot coals.
  • Put the cast iron skillet over the rocks and cover with a dutch oven lid.
  • Place a few hot rocks or hot coals on the lid and let it cook for about 20 minutes.
