Campfire Skillet Berry Crumble

Ingredients
  

Berry Filling

  • 4 cups Berries
  • 2 tbsp Sugar

Crumble

  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Almond flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your fire.
  • Butter the bottom of your cast iron skillet.
  • Add the fresh berries and sugar.
  • In a small bowl, mix the flour, almond flour and sugar. With your fingers mix in the butter until the dough makes little chunks.
  • Place the little chunks of dough on the berries. You can double the recipe for the dough if you want!
  • Once the fire is out and only hot coals remain, place a few rocks on the coals and place your skillet on top.
  • Cover your berry crumble with the lid of a cast iron dutch oven or some aluminium foil and let cook!
  • The baking time will depend on the temperature of the fire but it can take anywhere between 20 minutes and 1 hour!
