Do you buy your pie crust? Well, you shouldn’t! Making an homemade sweet pie crust is really easy and can be frozen! That way you’ll always have a fresh crust every time you feel like making a pie! I usually make a few at a time and roll it down and place it in a pie pan before freezing so whenever I want to use it is ready to bake!
The best thing about this recipe is that if you are in a hurry you can simply press the dough down into the pie pan when it’s fresh! No need to roll the dough! It will save you some time and no one will be able to tell the difference!

How to make a perfect pie crust
There are a few steps to make a sweet pie crust. But if you follow my recipe you will be sure to make a perfect crust every time!
In a medium bowl, add the soft butter with the icing sugar, a pinch of salt, an egg and the almond flour. Mix it with a wooden spoon until completely smooth.
Add the flour all at once and mix it gently until all the flour is incorporated.
Now you have four choices:
- Refrigerate until you are ready to roll it down
- Freeze it for later
- Refrigerate and roll it down and freeze it in the pie pan
- Press it down into the pie pan and use it right away
