Homemade Chocolate Brownies are one of the easiest treat you can make! And one of the best! We love making brownies in our house. First because it’s delicious but also because it’s super versatile. You can make them for a little afternoon treat, tiny bite size snacks, bake sales, birthday parties… I know a lot of people make brownies from a box but that’s mostly because they don’t know how easy it is to make from scratch! But trust me, once you tried this homemade brownie recipe you will never go back to the box!

Ingredients you’ll need

This recipe only calls for ingredients you probably already have in your house! Nothing fancy but the result is amazing!

  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • Butter, unsalted
  • Sugar
  • Cocoa powder
  • Salt
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Nuts (optional): pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts…

That’s it! It’s all you need!

How to make the perfect Homemade Chocolate Brownies

Preheat the oven to 350F (180C).

If you are not using a silicone baking mold, line a pan with parchment paper.

Melt the butter in a small sauce pan. Poor into a large bowl and add the sugar. Stir well. Set aside until it cools down a little.

Beat in the eggs one at the time.

Add the vanilla.

Add the flour, cocoa powder and salt.

If you decided to use nuts, add them now and stir.

Pour the brownie batter into the pan and bake it for 45 minutes.

The brownie will be ready when the edges are set and the toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with brownie batter on it. Be careful not to over bake your brownie otherwise it will be dry.

Allow to cool down before cutting it the size and shape you want!

  • 2 cups (430g) Sugar
  • 3/4 cup (90g) Flour
  • 1 cup (100g) Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cup Nuts (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350F (180C).
