All natural slime
If you have kids you know! They all want slime! But the ones you buy are full of chemicals and the recipes you find online are no better! It always calls for glue or borax. And there no way my daughter is playing hours with that! So I decided to look for an all natural non toxic slime recipe! So here it is: my homemade non toxic slime!
Only 3 edible ingredients! I am not saying it will taste good but you could eat it and be completely fine! Plus, you could even make it organic if you wanted too!
The magic ingredient
I’m not gonna make you wait any longer, the magical ingredients is Psyllium!!! For those of you who don’t know, psyllium husk is a water-loving substance made from the outer layer of the psyllium seeds from the psyllium plant, Plantago ovata. And it makes a really fun and jiggly slime for your kids to play with!
How to make non toxic slime
To make your homemade non toxic slime, simply mix 2 tbsp of psyllium with a cup of water and a little bit of natural food colouring. I used beetroot powder because my daughter is all about red and pink but you could use spinach powder for green or turmeric powder for yellow!
Bring it to a boil in a little pan or even in a microwave (1 to 1 1/2 minutes). Let it cool down and play!
Store it in an air tight container in the fridge for a few days!
